Jef Van In to combine the roles of CEO of AXA Next and CEO of AXA Partners
After more than three years at the helm of AXA Partners, Gilbert Chahine will be appointed in charge of Individual savings & Protection at AXA France and will be joining the Executive Committee of AXA France. Presently CEO of AXA Next and Chief Innovation Officer of AXA Group, Jef Van In will also take on the role of CEO of AXA Partners.
The appointment of Jef Van In will be effective August 1st, 2021.

"In my role of CEO of AXA Belgium, I have worked extensively with AXA Partners and I know first-hand the quality of the services and solutions delivered by its teams. AXA Partners is the central pillar of the AXA Next ecosystem, and by combining the two roles, I will put all my energy to make it even more successful and innovative for the AXA entities and our partners worldwide. I would like to very warmly thank and congratulate Gilbert for his defining actions since 2018: the massive transformation he has undertaken, the rejuvenation of the sales momentum, his constant attention to customer satisfaction, and the way he has led AXA Partners during the pandemic. Through challenging periods, he has always embodied the AXA values in all his decisions, and I know AXA Partners teams across the world will be sad to see him go. We all wish him the best in his future role, and I am looking forward to working with him in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth and effective transition, with the support of the Executive Committee."

Biography
Jef Van In graduated as Business Engineer from the KU Leuven, and obtained an executive MBA at the Flanders Business School. In 1993 he started his career in commercial and institutional banking at ING Bank Belgium. In 2000 he switched to retail banking to occupy various managerial roles in distribution and product management. In 2007 he moved to Ukraine to start a retail greenfield bank for ING. In 2011, he joined AXA Group to become CEO of AXA Bank Europe. As of 2013 he also became CEO of AXA CEE region (insurance). On July 2016, he was appointed CEO of AXA Belgium and president of the supervisory Board of AXA Bank. On July 1, 2021, he was appointed CEO of AXA Next and AXA Group’s Chief Innovation Officer.
